Well I must have imagined writing the post I made the other night! It is definately not here.
This post is for me to remember that EDS and long train journeys to London do not mix!! Great to go to UCHL to see the eminent Professor who is always overwhelming with his kindness. But early appointment for daughter meant arriving in London for the rushour. Good grief, how do people do it. Today, my body has laughed at my stretcy collagen making a big joke out of it all. Jokes aside, topped up to the hilt with extremely strong pain relief made me able to function yesterday, today at home, my pain has escalated to levels that go beyond funny.
On the home front, I have been married so long now that other half and I just bumble along nicely together. Tonight he was however not good to be around, everyone is entitled to a bad mood but all evening humph, it made no difference if I kept quiet, voiced my opinion all of it was wrong. Hey ho lets hope tomorrow is better.
I have sent off for a book, now I can hear anyone who is even vaguely bothered to read this dumb blog of mine laughing when I say what its about. Learn how to knit.... now years ago I knew how but seem to have forgotten. I ordered this book over the internet the other night, having listened to a programme on radio 4, about how a pain management group took up knitting as a distraction with fantastic results. Got all inspired and thought great that will be a good distraction, having attended a pain management course some time ago am always looking for distractions which are more productive than the good old .. watch a dvd etc.. my hands find holding a book a little much and being a stubborn old bint really cannot 'sit' correctly and use a book holder which is apparently what I am suppossed to do. Wish me luck, can't hold a mug, without a thumb, finger dislocation, wrist backbend that alarms people but my enthusiastic web wonderings convinced me that I will be able to knit ha ha. I am determined, so will see how I get on with knitting with splints and oramoroph etc. Well I am a great believer in Radio 4, so simply must give it a go. Only thing is I chose the slow mail option for delivery to save money and am hoping by the time the bloody book arrives I still have the same enthusiasm.
Am missing bendy girl on benefitscroungingscum's blog and hoping she is hooked up to broadband soon. With the recent weather and her move to windy city I am worried she is ensconsed in her flat for fear of doing a mary poppins. apologies for lack of capitals, seriously dodgy hands this week so capitals difficult. and here's me thinking of knitting.......
I am off now as I can see this post deteriorating into further bla bla blaaaaaaaaaaa bfn

Hi, I'm a newcomer to your blog, but I thought I'd let you know I have EDS too, and I crochet as a distraction. I tried to learn how to knit, but I lack hand-hand co-ordination, so it doesn't work for me. My fingers also won't let me hold knitting needles and yarn at the same time. I'm reading through your blog from beginning to end, and I hope I hear good things about oyur knitting experiences!
