Watching a I want to be a chef type programme,in the background whilst doing the blog thing. Think its Masterchef didn't see the beginning. Is it just me or do the would be chef's have a madness about them or in their eyes which is mildly alarming? Most of them to seem to cook things that anyone who has had to make an evening meal regularly will have tried at some point or other. Apart from those that want to give a go at fusing their food with very strange ingredients. Each to their own I suppose and if I have help to do all the chopping and lifting and draining carrying the plate to table etc am sure I could serve up equally disgusting looking food. One can't knock their enthusiasm though but wonder at the wisdom of wanting their culinary disasters on national tv!

Blue badge through, I look a hundred years old in the picture, its so not funny. Always wondered about the picture as no one ever sees it. Good job too in my case. Did have a blue badge and am entitled to one, but had let it lapse stupid story which won't bore here. So having avoided going out really for ages due to inability to walk from car parks to shops thought I would give it a go. Having no money changed my mind and went to local garden centre and looked at lovely plants which I also can't afford. The experience was nevertheless enjoyable, particularly the yummy cake in the cafe. This programme is making me hungry so am off to get some brie, no one else is up and I can push brie flat on a wafer and pretend I have some watercress to go with it which is my current munch favourite. So will be going to local farm shop to get some more tomorrow. Can't understand though why they don't buy it from the watercress farm half a mile up the road, I suppose it may be the same reason they sell really really expensive tartan rugs from Scotland when we are on the south coast!! I want to buy one of their honey pots with the little bee on the spoon but just know it would end up a disgusting gone off thing in the cupboard, so will buy my watercress and not a tartan rug or a china honey pot with a bee on it. Then will go to local farm to buy some meat, except that I probably won't as it is soooooooo expensive but will buy one of their packs of bacon & cheese wraps in puff pastry yum yum yum. Off to get my brie, glass of milk and probably follow it with a piece of rasyberry chocolate, its dark and truly delicious. Am also thinking I must have pmt for all these food wants and needs....

kitchen is calling
